So the 2013 season comes to a close following the Snetterton 200 meeting... What a depressing thought! Still, we have lots to look forward to for next season and also lots of good positive things to look back on in 2013. A good solid follow up season for me on the X7, which was again a very reliable machine and a good performer too. I thoroughly enjoyed racing against Jerry and Graeme on their X7's and I greatly improved my race pace as the season went on. Got some decisions to make regarding what bikes I'm going to run next year, but with promise of more Aircooled 250's next year I hope to be back out on the X7 in 2014 @ most of the meetings. However the focus for me next year will be getting to grips with the Harris and riding Nige Collier's K4 in the very competitive 350 class...
Bit of a mixed year for Mike really, he has suffered from machine prep and reliability issue's @ various meeting's, but has learnt a lot over the season and intends to get it right from the off next season. The Vic Camp Suzuki has changed hands, so all the energy for Mike over the winter will go into the Yamaha RD250. No big plans for it other than sorting out niggles, getting a proper set-up, some new expansion chambers and probably a Dyno run or two.
I'm going to be busy over the winter in the garage tweaking the Harris and rebuilding the X7 thats for sure, everything will be captured on the development page. I also intend keep up the good fitness stuff I've been really enjoying (got a 10k running race booked or January) and also relax a little after a very busy year racing wise.
I'll be posting some bits and pieces over the winter break so keep and eye out, and looking forward to 2014 already!
